How do you get to classes? Do you take public transportation, ride a bicycle, walk, etc.? Is the campus spread across large distances?

Berkeley is a very walkable place. Mostly everyone walks or bikes to classes. Parking is also TERRIBLE.

What supplies do you normally use in your classes? What do you bring with you on a daily basis?

I would bring my laptop to all my classes. Of course there were a few courses that I preferred handwritten notes. This is just something that you have to feel out and decide for yourself.

How do you balance your school work with any jobs that you may have throughout the year?

I found that I remained more motivated and focused when I worked as well as went to school than when I didn't. Because I had to pay for all of my expenses that financial aid and scholarships didn't cover, I usually had 2 jobs in addition to school. Most employers are understanding and flexible, but you have to maintain that balance for yourself and become an expert in time management.
