How did you decide on what to major in?

I went to Berkeley as a pre-business major, but after taking a few pre requisites I realized it wasn't right for me. I went online and looked at all of the majors Berkeley offered and was amazed! I ended up majoring in Peace and Conflict Studies with an emphasis in global governance. This major allowed me to take international business courses, while also engaging in topics I truly cared about. That major required a second language, so I chose Russian. I ended up picking up Slavic Lit and Languages as a second major.

How did you think you will use your major in a career?

I wasn't sure. I thought I'd go into politics or pursue a masters degree. But once I graduated, and circumstances changed, I ended up landing a solid job in the finance/ investments industry.

Do you regret not being able to take any classes to prepare for your major? What classes would you recommend Gregori students to take based off of your major?

Regardless of major or career choice, everyone should take APES with Mrs. Merenda. This is one of the most eye-opening courses that helps you become a more well-rounded person.
