When choosing between colleges, how did you decide amongst the colleges that you were accepted into?

UC Berkeley has always been my dream school. I applied to 8 universities and included Berkeley as my "reach" school. When I found out that I was admitted to Berkeley, it was the easiest choice of my life from there.

What would you personally say are your school's strengths?

Berkeley has many internationally recognized professors. The level of education you receive from these professors is unparalleled. It also had a diverse student body. You can find you niche in whatever it may be.

How would you describe the location of your college? (climate, weather, etc.) Would you describe it as a college town? (urban, suburban, rural) Does the location allow for activities outside of campus? (farmer's markets, concerts, etc.)

Berkeley is a unique little college town. You can walk pretty much everywhere, and if you can't, the public transportation is great! My favorite part of the town was all the great food!!! You can find food from almost every culture close by. Also, it's just an uber/ Bart ride away from Oakland and SF.

If you are far away from home, do you ever feel homesick? How do you balance relationships with family and friends from home?

Definitely. Freshman year was hard for me, but once I realized that I had all the support and love I needed it got better. I tried to call my parents and loved ones at least once a week to keep in touch.
