How did you decide on what to major in?

After switching my major a handful of times, I finally decided on a social science major. This major has allowed me to incorporate my varied interests while allowing me to use previous coursework from other majors. I plan on working in student services in higher education once I graduate. With my major, I am studying psychology, gender studies, and ethnic studies. All of these disciplines are relevant to preparing for grad programs that I would like to apply to.

Is there a lot of flexibility at your school in changing majors?

Yes, All three universities allowed for me to change my major at any time.

What is the workload like based on your major?

Workload is not heavy. Workload varies depending on the nature of the class and the professor. Some classes are strictly exam-based while others are solely based off of term papers and reading.

Do you regret not being able to take any classes to prepare for your major? What classes would you recommend Gregori students to take based off of your major?

When in high school I recommend taking classes that show off your strengths while peaking your interests for potential careers. No matter your major, having a solid grasp in writing will serve you well. You will likely change how you like your education while attending college. I am now more ambitious because I have more clearly-defined career goals.
